What happened to the book reviews that USED to be here (for all of the above books)? I'm currently writing a little bit nicer (more polished) book reviews for my favorite selctions of the same books at Amazon.com. But, if you really want to read what used to be here, there's an archived copy HERE.
Books I started Reading but simply could NOT finish!
In other words these are books I really would NOT recommend, for the most part. Some of them are really enjoyable reading, but I couldn't get into the plot (if there was one...) Others are books that are over-hyped - getting a lot of attention in the media, but in my opinion not all that great. Some of them are really great books, but how can I recommend something that I myself cannot finish?????
- I Know This Much Is True, by Wally Lamb (in progress, probably won't finish)
- Poison, by Kathryn Harrison (I think I'll finish it SOME DAY!)
- Vineland, by Thomas Pyncheon (I think I'll finish it SOME DAY!)
- V, by Thomas Pyncheon (I think I'll finish it SOME DAY!)
